Yeah, so this is what was exchanged on my Facebook with my fellow geeky comrades. Names were abbreviated to protect the nerds. L was the only representative of those with the dangly bits.

ME Big Bang Theory gripe - I really doubt that Sheldon would use a software with as many memory leaks and general failure to perform as an operating system as Windows Vista. He'd probably code an OS of his own that would allow him to play games that render 3D objects flawlessly on a 386 processor that employs a metal alloy of his own creation as a heat sink and fits into the top pocket of any button up shirt.

Although, that does put Sheldon up there with God powers, I guess.
Sheldon would use his on Unix based system - and calling it a Unix-based system to his face would be an insult.

Because he didn't design it, therefore it is inferior.

Well, that's a given, but based on his criteria (not user friendly) it would be the best option :)

His own OS would be another flavor of Unix - i.e. FreeBSD, Linux, Sheldonix... :)

and with his own (cryptic) versions of all the utilities, such that only he could use it :)

the problem I see with that, Amy(ME), is that Sheldon would have to take the time away from his physics to do so, and since programming isn't his forte he probably would just live with vista and work around the bugs, and Linux isn't supported by most games, and the games are more important than the os, i would think he would be a mac user...

all good points, D. Mac with a Windows VM maybe as well for those games that are Windows only.

True, but Windows Vista WAS user friendly. It was just a horribly programmed OS, even by Window's standards. Therefore, to have his games render 3-D graphics, he'd have to fix it. And that would also take away from his time as a physicist.
